Baltimore rings in 2026 with music and fireworks at Inner Harbor

Baltimore celebrated the arrival of the new year, 2026, with major festivities centered around the iconic Inner Harbor, featuring music and a dazzling fireworks display, CBS News reported. The celebrations drew crowds eager to mark the end of the previous year and usher in the promise of the new one with traditional fanfare. The atmosphere was reportedly vibrant, providing a significant public gathering point for residents and visitors alike to enjoy the transition into the new calendar year.

Further reporting from WBFF confirmed that both Baltimore and its neighbor, Annapolis, hosted comprehensive New Year’s events that included both fireworks and music, specifically catering to families. This dual approach ensured that celebrations were accessible to a wide demographic, offering family-friendly options earlier in the evening before the main midnight events. The focus on communal activities underscores the cities' commitment to providing safe and engaging ways for all ages to participate in the holiday.

These successful celebrations mark a positive start to 2026 for the local area, highlighting the region's ability to host large-scale public events safely. The blend of musical performances and the visual spectacle of the fireworks over the harbor provided a memorable backdrop for thousands in the Baltimore area as they welcomed the new year, reinforcing the Inner Harbor’s status as a central gathering point for major regional holidays.
