France to Build First Exascale Supercomputer with AMD

France has announced a partnership with Eviden and AMD to build the country’s first exascale supercomputer, named Alice Recoque. The system will use 70% European-made components and is expected to be fully installed by late 2026 at a projected cost of €554 million. This project represents a major step for European technological autonomy and competitive high-performance computing.
