Indigenous Leaders Demand Recognition at COP30 Climate Summit in Brazil

Indigenous representatives have escalated their calls for formal recognition and decision-making power at the COP30 climate conference in Belém, Brazil. The activists argue that climate solutions cannot succeed without meaningful participation from communities that steward vast forest and land resources. Their advocacy encompasses land rights protection, resource management authority, and equitable benefit-sharing from climate initiatives. International climate delegates are responding to these demands as the summit progresses toward final agreements.
