Radical New Theory Challenges Foundation of Modern Evolution Science

A Chinese biologist has proposed a revolutionary theory that contests central tenets of modern evolutionary biology, arguing for alternative mechanisms behind genetic variation and natural selection. The theory is stirring heated debate among scientists, with prominent journals dedicating space to responses and reviews. If confirmed, the findings could overhaul our understanding of biodiversity, heredity, and the “origin of species” debate for decades to come.
