San jose residents report thief targeting disney christmas decorations

Residents in San Jose are dealing with an unusual crime wave: a thief is specifically targeting and stealing Disney-themed Christmas decorations from neighborhood displays. This localized crime spree has caused frustration and disappointment among community members preparing for the holiday season.

CBS News reported on the pattern of thefts, noting that the specialized targeting of Disney characters suggests either a collector or someone intent on reselling specific, high-value holiday items. Police are urging residents to secure their decorations better and report any suspicious activity.

The bizarre nature of the crime highlights how even sentimental, seasonal displays can become targets for opportunistic thieves. The community response emphasizes the loss of holiday spirit and the need for increased neighborhood vigilance during the festive period.
