The Streak Is Over: How **Brandon Aubrey** Handled the Pressure of His First NFL Miss

Dallas Cowboys rookie kicker Brandon Aubrey finally saw his incredible streak of consecutive successful field goals come to an end during Sunday's intense divisional matchup. After establishing an NFL record for the most successful kicks to start a career, Aubrey pushed a 33-yard attempt wide right in the second quarter. While the miss was minor in the context of the game's final score, the immediate reaction focused on the pressure cooker environment an NFL kicker operates in. Coach McCarthy immediately backed the young star, stating that the consistency shown up until this point proves his immense talent. Analysts suggest that handling this initial failure gracefully will be key to Aubrey maintaining his high-performance level throughout the remainder of the season and into the crucial playoff run.
