Trump discusses Ukraine peace deal with key European political figures

Former President Donald Trump engaged in diplomatic discussions concerning a potential Ukraine peace deal with several key European political leaders, including French President Macron, German opposition leader Merz, and UK Labour leader Starmer.

This high-level engagement, reported by Politico, suggests that Trump is actively involved in international policy discussions, particularly regarding the resolution of the protracted conflict in Ukraine. Such talks highlight the ongoing geopolitical significance of the war.

The participation of influential figures from France, Germany, and the UK indicates a concerted effort to explore diplomatic avenues, likely focusing on various proposals for a cessation of hostilities and a long-term settlement. The conversation occurred shortly before Ukrainian President Zelensky stated he was ready to hold elections.
