Trump rails on 'affordability hoax' and immigration during rally-style address

Donald Trump delivered a rally-style speech where he focused heavily on two key campaign themes: domestic economic hardship, which he labeled an “affordability hoax,” and escalating concerns regarding immigration policies.

The former President utilized the platform to criticize the current administration’s handling of inflation and cost of living, attempting to reframe the national economic discussion around consumer pain points. By calling the economic situation a “hoax,” he aimed to dismiss positive governmental reporting and bolster his narrative that American families are suffering needlessly under current leadership.

In addition to the economic critique, Trump ramped up his rhetoric concerning border security and immigrant populations. The speech served as a preview of his potential 2026 campaign platform, centering on a strong isolationist stance on trade and strict enforcement policies regarding entry into the United States, appealing directly to his core base of support.
