Iran says it struck seven vessels near the Strait of Hormuz

Iran's Revolutionary Guard Navy says it struck seven vessels near the Strait of Hormuz, warning the US that further provocations could trigger wider attacks on American bases in the region. Four of the ships, which it said were involved in illegal oil transfers in the northern Gulf, caught fire after being hit simultaneously, while three others reportedly struck mines west of the strategic waterway.
