Officer who shot and killed 1-year-old boy has resigned

A police officer in Mississippi resigned days after state authorities cleared him in the fatal shooting of a 1-year-old boy during a suspected shoplifting incident. Newly released body camera footage shows officers approaching a car in a Walmart parking lot in June with guns drawn. As the vehicle moved forward, Sgt. Hunter Foster fired into it, killing 1-year-old Kohen Wiley, who was sitting on his mother’s lap. Mississippi’s attorney general ruled this past week that the shooting was justified because the vehicle had moved toward an officer.
