Seven family members killed in Syria identified using DNA in historic first

ITV News witnessed a milestone moment, as a family of seven killed during the Syrian conflict were the first to be forensically identified, almost two years after the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime. For Mohammad Hamadah, the news was a mixture of “pain and relief”, to finally know what happened to his family. The historic breakthrough is offering hope to hundreds of thousands of families still searching for answers about their missing loved ones.
