Storm Austen: Part of Brighton West pier collapses as winds up to 110mph batter UK

Part of Brighton's West Pier has fallen into the sea as winds of up to 111mph have battered parts of the UK. In footage obtained by the BBC, one side of the pier is seen collapsing into the water as it is overcome by large waves. The Met Office has issued several amber warnings for wind across parts of northern England, Scotland and Northern Ireland, as Storm Austen hits the UK.
