US citizen injured during ICE operation in Long Beach as questions mount

former Long Beach city employee was injured during an incident involving Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, according to officials. Ricardo Gonzalez, who said he is a U.S. citizen, was found by police after community members reported concerns about unmarked vehicles in the area. ICE said agents were conducting an operation targeting a different individual and were responding to people attempting to interfere. The agency disputes claims that a bicyclist was struck, saying agents stopped a person accused of damaging a government vehicle.
